Melbourne Sandbelt
Metropolitan Golf Club
Golf Road, South Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia
Melbourne SandbeltMetropolitan Golf Club dates to 1908, when members purchased a farm in Oakleigh and built a course designed by club member J. B. MacKenzie; several holes were redesigned by Dick Wilson in 1960. A cornerstone of the Melbourne Sandbelt, the club's own visitor page confirms international and interstate visitors can book tee times provided they "are a member of an international or interstate club and hold a registered golf handicap with their respective national golf body," with bookings arranged in advance through the club's Guest and Corporate Golf Coordinator.
