A Stanley Thompson design opened in 1941 inside Cape Breton Highlands National Park, routed through the Clyburn River valley between mountains and the Atlantic shoreline. Operated in partnership with the Keltic Resort, Highlands Links keeps a mid-20th-century maintenance style — firm fairways and greens with natural hazards rather than manicured bunkering — and is consistently ranked among Canada's top public courses.
