Designed by Tom Doak and Mike Clayton and opened in 2004, Barnbougle Dunes was Tasmania's first true links course and remains one of Australia's most acclaimed public-access layouts, ranked #2 in Australia by Australian Golf Digest and #11 in the world by U.S. Golf Digest (2014 rankings cited on the club's own site). The par-71 routing plays over genuine coastal dune land with wide, firm fairways that reward strategic ground-game shots.
