Established in 1890, The Island sits on a peninsula bordered by the sea on three sides north of Dublin, near Donabate. Reachable historically only by boat before a causeway and bridge were built, the course winds through classic duneland links terrain with the estuary and Irish Sea visible from nearly every hole.
