The original course at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, designed by Scottish architect David McLay Kidd and opened in May 1999. Its rugged, walking-only links routing along the Oregon coast — modeled on the great courses of Scotland and Ireland — launched the resort that reintroduced true links golf to American golfers.
