One of the oldest golf courses in the world still played over its original ground, the West Links runs along the Firth of Forth in the East Lothian town of North Berwick. It is renowned for quirky, blind and semi-blind shots, including the famous par-4 'Redan' (15th), which has been copied by course designers worldwide, and the equally famous par-4 'Pit' (13th), whose green is bordered by an old stone wall.
