At 6,029 yards and par 70, Stone Quarry is the shortest and most eccentric of Mission Hills Haikou's championship courses, built on the theme of an abandoned mining operation. Pete Dye-style "railroad tie" bunkers, old track remnants and discarded mining-equipment features line a routing of railroad sleepers, dramatic knolls, white-line hazards and small, well-defended greens (averaging 6,286 sq ft) connected by train-car-style bridges. Six of the eighteen holes are par-3s, and 215 bunkers pack the round with recovery shots — official marketing describes it as a "robust, action-packed" change of pace from the resort's longer modern layouts.
